The Xtribe App is totally free in its basic version, loaded with all the useful features for creating and managing ads and starting negotiations with other users. Then there is the STORE version - for a fee - which is designed for businesses and professionals whose marketing needs are more sophisticated.

After downloading Xtribe for free, simply start the application, click on "Register" and follow the step-by-step instructions. You will need:

• Email address: with registration confirmation (for greater protection of the whole community).
• Password: a combination of letters and numbers to remember for logging in.
• Username: the name that will identify you on Xtribe. It is unique, it cannot contain special characters or spaces.

Of course: the option is available in the Register area of the App along with registration via Google and Apple (for iOS devices only).

Any error in the registration phase is promptly reported in the App, so the chances of not completing the registration successfully are almost non-existent. But let's see broadly what these errors can be and their solution:
Error 1: the email address you entered has an invalid format, change it, and try again. It means that the Email address is not written correctly. It must be changed to the valid format: username@domain.extension.
Error 2: the password must be between 8 and 20 characters, change it and try again. It means that the Password must be at least 8 characters long but must not exceed 20.
It must therefore be rewritten correctly following this simple rule.
Error 3: an account with this email already exists. Try to log in. It means that the Email has already been used for Registration. At this point you can go to Login. If you do not remember the password, you may recover it through the App.
Error 4: someone has already chosen this Username, change it and try again. It means that the username you chose is already in our database. The Username is unique.

Follow the Retrieve Password procedure on the Login screen, created specifically to ensure the highest degree of security.
Click on Forgot Password to access password recovery, enter the email address you used during registration, and you will be sent a message with a code to be entered in the New Password section. Here you just need to key in a new password and confirm by entering the code received via email.

Welcome! Now you can start selling, buying, bartering or renting new and used products and services. First, however, take a look at your profile, enter your details, your image and make yourself identifiable: your reputation and credibility within the app are very important.

An Ad shows what you can sell and buy, trade or rent on Xtribe. To create an ad, simply go to the Sell area of Xtribe, choose Product or Service and from there enter all the required information.

The Explore section of Xtribe is the area where you can find all the ads in the App. It is set by default to Products, but you can easily switch the Services from the drop-down menu at the top. From here you can start a search on Xtribe. With List view (tap the upper right corner icon) you leave the Map and you can see all the products or services on Xtribe in the listed version, sorted by distance from you.

The Showcase offers greater visibility to the ads and is therefore an important aid for negotiations and to sell faster and easier in the chosen city. It is an exclusive, highly visible space within the app where you can place your ad and highlight it for seven days side by side with a few other ads. This service is currently available for select cities, both in Italy and other countries.

From the Explore screen, go to the search field (the one with a magnifying glass symbol) and type what you’re looking for. The results of your search can be viewed in Map or List mode.

It is the tool that allows you to reach or be reached by Xtribers thanks to a real "navigator". Each ad or Store on Xtribe is in fact geolocated so you will see turn by turn directions to the seller or buyer and it will simplify the exchange if you decide to do so. The navigator will not pinpoint the exact location of an Xtribe user but only the approximate location. To meet in a specific location both parties must agree on the details.

I want to sell a product or service on Xtribe, how do I do it?
It's very simple: from the Sell section you can add a product or service. It takes just the time to take a picture or to choose it from the library of your device and write the description. Choose the category from the drop-down menu, specify if your product is new or used and if you are available to ship it or not. Choose the Price, which can be fixed (Buy Now), or negotiable (Make an offer). NB: if you decide to leave the Price field blank, the wording "Let's talk about it" will appear in your ad. Well, you have created your product sheet: your ad is on Xtribe now!
How do I trade a product or service?
Bartering is an option available only for products and services offered by individual users: it is not possible to barter with a Store user.
Create your ad and check the Barter option. Now your product is tradeable, so interested users can either offer products or services in exchange for yours or make monetary offers. If, on the other hand, you want to buy a product or service through Barter, check that it is available for barter and send your "Barter" offer by choosing one of your ads. If you don't have any active ads, create one and make it available to Barter.
How can I rent a service?
The Rental option is only available for the Services: from the ad card click on "Request rental" and make your offer indicating how much you are willing to pay and the duration of the period in which you wish to rent that service. If, on the other hand, you want to make your service rentable, simply create the ad and check the Rental option.
What is the "Fixed Position"?
The "Fixed Position" represents a precise location on the map where a User can place an ad and make it visible to all possible buyers on Xtribe.
What is the “Position with me”?
The "Position with me" does not locate the ad in a fixed location on the map but "follows" the user who created it. For example, if you are making an ad relating to a consulting service, you may be happy that the ad follows you so that other users can find you when you are close to them.
How to create winning ads?
Here are some tips for creating effective ads:
1) Beautiful photos: you can add up to 9 images per ad and the more explanatory they are, the more they can entice your buyers to contact you via the Chat.
2) Get specific: keywords and accurate descriptions are really important for all your offers and help avoid confusion.
3) Clarity: differentiate between products and services and place your ad in the right category so you capture the right audience.
4) Fair Price: the amount you set must be reasonable for the product or service offered.

Credits are the Xtribe “currency” that allows you to access “extra” services.

Credits can be purchased in the form of packages through the “In App Purchase” systems offered by Apple and Google only, to ensure maximum security.
With Credits you can:
1) Acquire additional ad slots.
2) Renew an ad for 30 days.
3) Publish an ad in the showcase of a city of your choice.
